Items will only be supplied to persons aged 18 or over. To enable your order to be processed you must have read and ticked your acceptance of our terms and conditions on the enquiry form or on the Website and by so doing confirmed that you are aged 18 or over. All items are sold as collectors items and are not intended for use.

Reservation of Title

All goods remain the property of Antique Sword Trader - G Sherwin t/as (the seller) until payment has been received in full, and the Title to (the Goods) shall remain vested in (the Seller) and shall not pass to (the Buyer) until the purchase price for {the Goods} has been paid in full and received by (the Seller).

Packaging and Postage

All items are sent securely packed and protected. Our prices include Postage and Packaging to UK destinations. There is an additional cost for other destinations based on the total weight of your order, your location, and our method of despatch (see below). Orders are despatched in accordance with the regulations of the U.K & the destination country's postal authorities. We always try to despatch orders within 48 hours of receipt of cleared funds.

Despatch - We only use Tracked Delivery systems:

IN THE UK: Either Post Office Special Delivery or Parcel Force Express 48 –tracked delivery systems, signature required.

EUROPE AND THE REST OF THE WORLD: Parcel Force Global Priority -  signature on delivery required or by Royal Mail Airsure which is a tracked system but where a signature is not required.

Overseas Deliveries

Antique Sword Trader (G Sherwin t/as) is not responsible for any Customs duties or taxes levied by the Customs organisations in the country of delivery. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to comply with any Import restrictions in the country of delivery. Customs Declarations will be completed by Antique Sword Trader for all items sent overseas - excluding the EU.


All goods are insured in transit by Antique Sword Trader for their full value - Free of Charge.


GOODS CAN BE PAID FOR IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: All payment for goods must be made in British Pounds (£) sterling.

Shopping Cart Facility - Payment can be made by Credit or Debit Card on our secure 'Shopping Cart' facility at 

Credit or Debit Cards - at Fairs, or for purchases with a completed Order Form on a ‘Cardholder not present basis’ for customers based in the UK only we are pleased to accept Mastercard or Visa cards. We do not accept American Express.

UK Only - Cheque payable to ANTIQUE SWORD TRADER - ALL cheques will be cleared before despatch of the goods (normally 7 working days). If a cheque should be returned unpaid - all associated costs, including legal costs, will be passed on to the originator. We do not accept personal cheques drawn on Banks outside the UK. We do not accept PayPal.

Bank Payment or Transfer in British Pounds (£) only:

Bank Account details will be supplied on request.

International Bank Account (IBAN) and Bank (BIC8) and Branch Identifier (BIC11) Codes will be supplied on request.


We offer an immediate money back guarantee on all goods supplied, provided that you contact us and return the item in the same condition it was despatched within 7 days of receipt of the goods. If an item is not notified to us within this time, it will be deemed as sold. We regret that return postage costs are not refundable, and that any Bank Charges incurred will be deducted.  Exceptions: This refund offer does not apply to any goods purchased that have been cleaned, renovated, damaged, disassembled or otherwise tampered with after purchase. 

Unfortunately because we do not store any of our customer’s credit card details, we are unable to make refunds where a Cardholder is not present. In the unlikely event of a refund being required payment will be made by cheque or by Bank Transfer.

All items advertised on this web site are of original period manufacture unless indicated otherwise. Where provenance is stated, then this based on information passed to us and/or verified from identifiable sources. We take great care to ensure the accuracy of the description of items offered with regard to age, origin and condition, etc. however, all such statements represent opinion, and should not to be taken as facts.

Descriptions and condition of goods

We try to be as accurate as possible when describing the condition of items offered for sale. However, the majority of our items are over 100 years old and allowance must therefore be made for their use and storage over this period of time. Where repairs have taken place, or replacement parts have been added, and this is identifiable, then we will include this in our description. Materials of weapon mounts and parts can be, and were often, constructed of differing materials for decorative purposes, and where used, gold and silver parts are not always hallmarked.


Deposits are deemed to form a contract to buy an item and the return of a deposit is entirely at our discretion.
