BRITISH 1822 ROYAL ARTILLERY PATTERN R.A.S.C SWORD – QEII – WILKINSON

A parade condition Royal Army Service Corp Sword by Wilkinson with a very fine frost etched blade. Suitable for a current serving Officer in the Royal Logistics Corp.

87.5 (34.5”) slightly curved rounded back single fullered blade with spear point. The blade is double edged except for the last 9”. Frost etched blade with on one side the crowned royal cypher for Queen Elizabeth II, extensive scrolling foliate designs and the makers name and royal appointment mark. The other side has the crowned badge of the RASC above a laurel wreath, scrolling foliate designs and a stylised proof marm. The back of the blade is numbered 82994.

Steel three bar hilt with rearward downward facing quillon. Cross hatched back piece and pommel. Fish skin grip bound with silver wire. Abbreviated sword knot.

Brown leather field service scabbard with sword frog.

The sword and scabbard are in Parade Ground condition. The blade and hilt are as new. There is minor surface wear through use to the fish skin grip. The scabbard is free from scuffs minor service wear to the chape. The sword frog has minor wear to the locking strap.
